Engaging youth in conversations about substance misuse is a great way to open up dialogue, establish clear rules and consequences, and support healthy decision making. On this page we’ve shared some of our favorite general resources for supporting youth to increase resilience and build connection.

ParentIN Burlington is our resource to support families in Burlington with tips, tools and opportunities to foster connection and support healthy decision making.

Spark & Stitch Institute uses brain science to spark understanding, and stitch science to practical strategies for raising connected and courageous kids online and offline.

Common Sense Media offers lots of information and tips about supporting youth around media, technology, and digital citizenship. 

ParentUp Vermont is a resource from the Vermont Department of Health with lots of suggestions for initiating conversations about substance use with youth.
